Disintegrated writing portrays physical or mental breakdown and is often a reflection of active psychosis. The writer's thoughts and/or emotions are fragmented or disconnected. The authors feel this sign may be of predictive value, indicating possible impending psychosis. Future research will amplify on this hypothesis.
STROKE DESCRIPTION
Obvious disintegration of the harmony, connections, stability, pressure, or rhythm of the writing. The writing will have a very apparent lack of cohesion and may look as if it is falling apart.
Examples:
Ronald Bennel: 18-year-old convicted in 1969 at Swanage, Dorcet for the rape and murder of 18-year-old Diana Stephanie Kemp.
Juan Rivera Aponte: Killed a 13-year-old boy in order to obtain his skull for a "love potion."
