The Caregiver Killer
Christine Falling
Christine Falling was considered "dull-witted" while growing up, and in need of regular medication to control her epileptic seizures. During her youth she would drop cats from lethal heights to "test their nine lives." She would also strangle them as a way of showing them her "love."
In 1982, thirty-nine-year-old Falling admitted to having killed three babies by "smotheration" (sic). She is actually suspected of killing as many as 5 babies, including her own niece, as well as an elderly man to whom she was a caregiver. Falling was fond of saying "I loved them to death."
